Please trust us when we say 'your safety and enjoyment' are paramount to the careful planning of our tours. Fields Trips has always had high standards for care and cleanliness and with additional protocols, this makes traveling with Fields Trips even safer. We’ve collaborated with industry partners to create enhanced protective measures for our travelers making it easier for you to feel comfortable with your decision to travel again.
First FOUR factors you need to know
YOU are FIRST and because travel is a shared experience, passengers (YOU), too, have certain responsibilities (DO NOT come on a trip if you are not feeling well, have COVID symptoms or been in contact in the last 14 days with a known case)
FACE MASKS are MANDATORY for boarding and deboarding the motor coach (your Tour Director will advise you of the protocol for each venue)
PHYSICAL DISTANCING – Most tours have been re-configured as a ‘SMALLER GROUP TOUR’ and planning to have a maximum of 26 travellers on a 56-seat motor coach (allowing for ample empty seats)
FUN follows your health and safety as a top priority for Fields Trips…which is why the extra protocols are in place
Supporting documents for TOURCARE Guidelines and Motor Coach Cleaning and Protection Procedures
The TOURCARE Guidelines (as established by The Canadian Association of Tour Operators (CATO) provide direction for tour operators across all touch-points of a trip – passengers, staff, and suppliers – to ensure that health and sanitization protections are in place for everyone and the communities visited. Sanitization procedures recommended are those issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), as well as local governmental health authorities. By endorsing these guidelines, Fields Trips supports the implementation of sanitization and operational procedures to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and increase the level of safety for passengers, employees, and local communities visited. https://ustoa.com/covid19/tour-care-guidelines
Ontario Motor Coach Association worked closely with Coach Operators to develop a standard set of cleaning and protection procedures for motor coaches in a COVID world. These documents are based on guidance from the Government of Canada and are intended as a baseline for motor coach companies. https://www.omca.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/COVID-19-Protection-Procedures-on-a-Motor-Coach-OMCA.pdf
